In this post I'll show you how to build an email list for free (or at least 4 ways to get started.)

While you may think that having your own website is all you need to succeed online, any effective Internet marketing business needs another asset even more.

What is it?

Yep, a good email list.

If you have a list of verifiable email addresses from individuals who have actually bought something from you or have reacted to one of your advertisements, you have something that will make you
the envy of lots of Internet marketers.

But it will take a while for you to develop it.

Here we'll look at four good techniques for getting a list bit enough to set you up with a rewarding Internet marketing business.

1.) Short article Directories

If you want to develop a list of email addresses really interested in
whatever your selling, then write, or pay to have someone write
posts on your products, or the products you are promoting, explaining what problems they will solve for your readers.

Also, don't try to sell all the time. Instead, address the  'pain points' someone in or interested in your business might have. Provide solutions, helpful tips,or anything that will be of value.

Submit them to article directory sites, where you'll be given a
resource box at the end of each short article.

Utilize the resource box to collect an email address in exchange
for perhaps a newsletter, and if your article is good, you'll
get the e-mail addresses of readers who'd like to follow up.

Two examples are https://articlesbase.com/ and EzineArticles.com

2.) Free Reports

Many people can't miss a free offer related to something in which they
are interested, so by writing and providing free reports about your
items to those who join your subscriber list you'll be following in the
steps of some very smart marketers.

This goes to the idea of providing value to people.
Simply ensure the info in your free reports are precise and helpful,
because they might be the first impression you give to possible
clients.

You certainly do not want them to be the last!

3.) List Building Sites

List building sites are matrix programs which require you to refer
people to join after you. The recommendations of your recommendations
become your 2nd level referrals, and you can send your mails to them and
everyone whom they refer.

It's common matrix stuff, and works fine as long as you get in
near the beginning and have referrals who are willing to share their
lists of referrals.

and https://www.addthis.com/get/list-building/ (free

Once you've built up a decent list, you might approach another marketer
with their own list to do a leads exchange. You agree to send a referral
from them to a certain number of your leads on a product they're promoting, and they'll agree to do the same with their list for your promotion.

(That's method 3A...a bit of a bonus for you)

4.) Start Blogging

You almost need to have a blog if you wish to be successful at
marketing, due to the fact that a blog site offers you an opportunity to
build a genuine connection with your potential customers.

You can place sign ups for your complimentary reports on each page of your blog, and if your readers are amazed with your blog site's contents,
they will probably sign up to get more information.

There are a lot of other ways to begin building a list but whichever
technique you pick, it's essential to build trust with your
customers by keeping their details personal and by making certain
that you give them quality information!

If you have a verifiable list of email addresses, you have something
that others will envy; much as you're probably envious now.

What are your best approaches for getting a list big enough to set you
up with a successful business?

The second and fourth techniques out of those I've shared are probably the best by far.

People deal with those they know, like and trust. Providing
good value without always trying to sell something is an unbeatable
strategy.

In keeping with what I've been talking about I hope you've found this to be
helpful and that it will give you some food for thought.
